Storytellers Summit will take place at the International Trade Center in Washington, D.C.  
The International Trade Center (ITC) at the Ronald Reagan Building is located at
1300 Pennsylvania Ave. NW,
Washington, DC 20004.

With the continued renovations ongoing at National Geographic’s Base Camp, Storytellers Summit will be held at a new venue in Washington, D.C., in 2025 to bring the storytelling community together. There are several hotels within .05 miles of the International Trade Center. We do not offer discounted room block rates for Storytellers Summit attendees, but we can recommend these hotels located within a 5-minute walk of the venue: 

JW Marriott (0.3 miles from event)

Willard InterContinental (0.3 miles from event) 

Hotel Washington (0.3 miles from event)

Riggs Hotel (0.4 miles from event)

We offer a virtual event experience for all Summit attendees. Sessions available for virtual participation will be accessible through our virtual venue, which will be live three days before the event. If you have already registered to attend in-person and need to switch to a virtual experience, please email events@ngs.org for assistance. 

Sessions that are made available for virtual participation will be recorded and shared after the event. 

Once your registration is complete, you will receive an email link to view and modify your registration.  

Credentials can be picked up from the registration desk at the following times:

  • Monday, February 10th: 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM
  • Tuesday, February 11th: 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM
  • Wednesday, February 12th: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
  • Thursday, February 13th:  8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

There is no official dress code for Storytellers Summit, but we recommend a smart casual or business casual approach to your attire. Attire for Evening Events is Business.

February in Washington, D.C., is usually cold and slightly windy, with temperatures ranging from 28-45°F (-2-7°C).
