Víctor Zea Diaz

Víctor Zea Diaz is a visual artist born in Lima, Peru, and based in Cusco, Peru. His projects are focused on territory and cultural heritage. He is particularly interested in showing the diversity and complexities associated with the search for our roots and how to build our identity. Zea Diaz’s work began as a documentary photographer and hip-hop artist who explored different visual and audio techniques. In 2021, he became a Magnum Foundation Photography and Social Justice Fellow. In 2019, he was awarded a National Geographic Society grant to support his project on the intersection of Andean and hip-hop culture in Peru.
